Mark Matthews scored four goals and added three assists as the Edmonton Rush got past the Colorado Mammoth 13-10 on Saturday night in National Lacrosse League action.
Matthew Dinsdale had a hat trick for the Rush (13-5), while Jeremy Thompson and Ben McIntosh each struck twice. Riley Loewen and John LaFontaine rounded out the attack.
Drew Westervelt found the back of the net three times for Colorado (9-9). Adam Jones and Mike Burke each had a pair of goals as Cam Flint, Jeremy Noble and Dan Ball supplied the rest of the offence.
Aaron Bold turned away 34 shots for the win in goal. Dillon Ward started for the Mammoth but was pulled after kicking out 27-of-36 shots in 34:57. Alex Buque went the rest of the way, suffering the loss after making 17 saves in 25:03.
Edmonton converted on four of its five power-play chances while Colorado went 1 for 5.
