Micah Mason and Eric James scored 18 points apiece and Duquesne beat Mississippi Valley State 91-77 on Tuesday.

Mason was 7 of 12 from the floor, including four 3-pointers. James was 7 of 11 with two 3s.

Derrick Colter added 16 points for the Dukes (6-1). Darius Lewis added 11 points and TySean Powell had 10 points and eight rebounds. Duquesne enjoyed a 49-42 advantage on the boards.

MVSU (0-8) was led by Isaac Williams with 18 points, making four 3-pointers. Marcus Romain scored 16 points with five assists and Rashaan Surles had 13 points, six rebounds and six assists.

Duquense never trailed and led 53-30 at the half. The Dukes outscored the Delta Devils 44-27 in the paint, had 31 fast-break points and 19 points off of 15 turnovers.
