Morgan Ellis scored twice to lead the St. John's IceCaps to a 6-4 victory over the Toronto Marlies on Sunday in American Hockey League action.

Daniel Carr, Lucas Lessio, Markus Eisenschmid and Gabriel Dumont also found the back of the net as the IceCaps (17-14-8) snapped Toronto's seven-game winning streak.

T.J. Brennan, Jeremy Morin, Casey Bailey and Nikita Soshnikov scored for the Marlies (31-8-2) while Rinat Valiev and Mark Arcobello chipped in with two assists apiece.

Zachary Fucale stopped 30 shots for the win. Garret Sparks made 28 saves in the losing effort.

St. John's was 2 for 4 on the power play while Toronto failed to score on five chances with the man advantage.
