New Zealand's Tom Latham made 131 and Martin Guptill 94 as the visitors scored 307-8 batting first in Friday's one-day tour match against an Australian Prime Minister's XI.
Latham and Guptill shared an opening stand of 196 in 33.5 overs as New Zealand batted first after winning the toss at Manuka Oval.
The remaining New Zealand batsman failed to fully capitalize on that foundation. Ross Taylor and Hamish Rutherford were out for ducks, and allrounder Jimmy Neesham produced the best effort from the middle order with 34.
Jason Behrendorff took 3-56 from 10 overs while Peter Siddle took 1-53.
The match is being played with the pink ball that will be used in the first day-night test at Adelaide in late November.
