Martin Johnsrud Sundby won the men's 10-kilometre freestyle pursuit Sunday to extend his lead over fellow Norwegian Petter Northug Jr. in the Tour de Ski.
Sundby finished in 21 minutes, 44.7 seconds, with Northug 1:25.2 behind. Finn Haagen Krogh completed the Norwegian top three.
"I knew I was being chased," Sundby said. "I am happy I could gain more seconds."
Alex Harvey of St-Ferreol-les-Neiges, Que., was ninth.
After three of eight races in the Tour de Ski, Sundby leads with Northug 1:30.2 behind. Third-place Krogh trails by more than two minutes.
Overall, Sundby leads Northug 828 to 499 points after 12 of 36 events.
Norway also dominated the women's 5-kilometre freestyle pursuit, taking the top three positions.
Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg won in 13:02.3, with Therese Johaug 9.3 back.
"I can't always win but I will always try," Johaug said.
Heidi Weng was third, 2:03.6 back.
In the Tour de Ski standings, Oestberg leads Johaug by 14.3. Overall, Johaug leads Oestberg 767 to 682 points.
The tour has a rest day Monday before resuming in Oberstdorf, Germany, on Tuesday.
