Alexander Nylander scored 58 seconds into overtime to lead the Mississauga Steelheads past the Kitchener Rangers 3-2 on Sunday afternoon in Ontario Hockey League action.
Everett Clark led the Steelheads (3-3-1) offensively with two goals and an assist. Jack Flinn turned aside 24 shots for the win in goal.
Darby Llewellyn had both goals in regulation for Kitchener (2-0-3). Dawson Carty made 28 saves in net.
Mississauga went 1 for 4 on the power play while the Rangers were scoreless on three opportunities.

OWEN SOUND, Ont. — Dante Salituro had a hat trick as Ottawa slipped past the Attack.
Nathan Todd, Trent Mallette, Artur Tyanulin and Ben Fanjoy also found the back of the net for the 67's (4-3-0). Travis Konecny tacked on three assists as Ottawa won its fourth straight.
Santino Centorame scored twice and added an assist for Owen Sound (4-2-1). Petrus Palmu added a goal and two assists while Jaden Lindo and Bryson Cianfrone rounded out the attack.
Mallette received a match penalty for slew footing at 18:22 of the third period.

SARNIA, Ont. — Ryan McGregor and Sasha Chmelevski scored in the third period as the Sting edged Sudbury.
Chase Campbell also chipped in with a goal in the second for Sarnia (5-2-1).
Danny Desrochers opened the scoring for the Wolves (1-5-0) with Conor Cummins adding the other.

FLINT, Mich. — Greg Betzold struck twice as Peterborough downed the Firebirds.
Hunter Garlent added a goal and four assists while Eric Cornel had a goal and two assists for the Petes (5-3-0). Josh Coyle and Logan DeNoble also scored.
Cullen Mercer, Mathieu Henderson, Ryan Moore and Will Bitten found the back of the net for Flint (2-4-1). Vili Saarijarvi tacked on three assists.
