Stand-in Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed won the toss and put Zimbabwe in to bat in the series-deciding third one-day international on Monday at Harare Sports Club.
Pakistan again decided to chase as it did when it narrowly lost the second game in contentious circumstances after the umpires called off play for bad light.
Looking to avoid a first ever ODI series loss to Zimbabwe, Pakistan was forced to leave out injured captain Azhar Ali for the final game. Ahmed Shehzad came into the team for Ali and allrounder Imad Wasim was recalled for Yasir Shah.
Zimbabwe replaced legspinner Graeme Cremer after he was injured in the second ODI on Saturday. His place was taken by Tino Mutombodzi. Zimbabwe also dropped experienced batsman Hamilton Masakadza for Malcolm Waller.
