Paul Clement has left his role as assistant coach of Real Madrid to take over as manager of second-tier English club Derby.

The 43-year-old Clement has been the No. 2 to Carlo Ancelotti at Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and most recently Madrid.

Derby turned to Clement after firing former England coach Steve McClaren following the club's failure to secure promotion to the Premier League.
