First-division Portuguese club Boavista has introduced Rivaldo's son as its newest signing on Tuesday.

The 20-year-old Rivaldinho was presented to fans and journalists at a news conference alongside his father, the former Barcelona and Brazil star.

Rivaldinho transferred from second-division Brazilian club Mogi Mirim, which had Rivaldo as its president.

The 43-year-old Rivaldo briefly came out of retirement earlier this year to help Mogi Mirim leave the bottom of the standings in Brazil's second division. He and Rivaldinho both scored goals in a recent match.

Rivaldinho, a forward, signed a three-year contract with the Portuguese club.
