Brandon Pye scored 16 points, Rashawn Thomas added 10 and grabbed 12 rebounds, and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi rallied in the second half to beat Austin Peay 61-48 on Wednesday night.

Bryce Douvier scored 15 points and Hameed Ali contributed five assists for the Islanders (5-2), who trailed 24-23 at halftime after Austin Peay's Terrell Thompson hit a layup with 1:09 left for the fifth lead change of the half.

Pye hit a 3-pointer to spark a 13-2 run and the Islanders pulled ahead 41-32 in the second half. Pye hit another 3 amid a 9-2 run and the Islanders led by 15 with 4:22 to go, then outscored the Governors 7-3 in the final 1:14.

The Islanders were outrebounded 40-33, but made 17 of 20 free throws while the Governors shot just 35 per cent from the field.

Chris Horton led Austin Peay (4-3) with 18 points and 14 rebounds.
