Jean-Christophe Beaudin scored a hat trick as the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies doubled up the Chicoutimi Sagueneens 8-4 on Saturday night in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Julien Nantel had two goals and an assist for the Huskies (7-1-1). Alexandre Sills, Anthony Wojcik and Mathieu Boucher also scored while Jeremy Lauzon tacked on three assists.
Frederic Allard, Marc-Andre Gauvreau, Antoine Marcoux and Nicolas Roy found the back of the net for Chicoutimi (0-7-1). Allard added two assists.
Chase Marchand made 22 saves for the win in net. Xavier Potvin turned aside 18-of-25 shots in 46:08 for the Sagueneens before giving way to Julio Billia. Billia stopped eight shots in relief.
Rouyn-Noranda was scoreless on three power-play chances while Chicoutimi converted once on four opportunities.

SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Sam Povorozniouk had a goal and assist as the Sea Dogs scored four unanswered goals to beat Shawinigan.
Spencer Smallman, shorthanded, and Bokondji Imama, on the power play, also scored for Saint John (5-3-0). Adam Marsh and Matt Green rounded out the attack.
Alexis D'Aoust had a short-handed goal for the Cataractes (6-2-0), with Dennis Yan adding the other on the power play.
Sea Dogs forward Joe Veleno received a game misconduct for checking from behind at 10:02 of the third period.

BOISBRIAND, Que. — Alexandre Delisle-Houde struck twice as the Armada topped Halifax.
TJ Melancon and Kristian Pospisil also chipped in for Blainville-Boisbriand (4-3-1).
Cavan Fitzgerald and Jean-Sebastien Taillefer scored for the Mooseheads (1-5-2).
Fitzgerald and Melancon were both ejected at 19:54 of the third period for a fight in the final five minutes of regulation time.
