Dutchman Robin Haase saved two match points as he came from behind to beat top-seeded Feliciano Lopez of Spain 4-6, 7-6 (2), 6-4 in the second round of the Estoril Open on Wednesday.

Lopez, who had a bye in the first round, hit 10 aces on the clay court but was broken four times by Haase.

Haase will face a quarterfinal against the winner of the match between seventh-seeded Nick Kyrgios and Filip Krajinovic.

Nicolas Almagro also advanced to the final eight by beating fourth-seeded Leonardo Mayer 7-6 (4), 6-2, with the Spaniard hitting seven aces.

Almagro will play either fifth-seeded Richard Gasquet or qualifier Kenny de Schepper.
