Slovenian ski jumper Peter Prevc won the third stop of the Four Hills Tour on Sunday to extend his lead in the event over German rival Severin Freund.

Prevc had jumps of 125 and 132 metres for a total of 269.5 points, 11.1 ahead of Freund. The German's best effort was 128 metres, just hours after he crashed while landing during the trial jumping.

Kenneth Gangnes of Norway placed third with 251.5 points.

Prevc carries a 19.7-point lead over Freund into Wednesday's fourth and final stop on the tour in Bischofshofen, Austria.

Prevc is set to become the first non-Austrian winner of the competition since Janne Ahonen of Finland in 2008.
