Tim Smallwood scored 14 points and Nebraska-Omaha rolled to a 104-58 victory over Division III member St. Mary's (Minn.) on Sunday night.

Smallwood was 6 of 12 from the floor. JT Gibson scored 13 points and made three 3-pointers. Zach Pirog had 12 points and eight rebounds. Jake White and Tra-Deon Hollins had 11 points apiece, and Zach Jackson chipped in 10 for the Mavericks (1-1).

Quashingm Smith-Pugh had 12 points to lead St. Mary's. Will Swiggum added 7 points and four rebounds for the Cardinals, which shot just 28 per cent from the floor, and 8 of 29 from 3-point range for 27.6 per cent.

The Mavericks, who forced 21 turnovers, opened on a 15-2 run, led 60-22 at halftime.

It was the first meeting between the two schools.
