South Africa won the toss and will bat first in the second one-day international against New Zealand on Sunday.
New Zealand made three changes to the team that lost the first game by 32 runs.
George Worker gets his one-day international debut, with bowlers Doug Bracewell and Ben Wheeler also brought in. Nathan McCullum, James Neesham and Mitchell McClenaghan were left out.
Looking to seal a series victory, South Africa made just one change: spinner Aaron Phangiso was in for quick bowler Kagiso Rabada.
