South Africa captain A.B. de Villiers won the toss and decided to bat first against India on Sunday in the final one-day international of their five-game series.

India won the last match at Chennai by 35 runs to level the series at 2-2, and went into the final match unchanged.

South Africa brought in pace bowler Kyle Abbott and left-handed batsman Dean Elgar, who also bowls left-arm spin. They replaced pace bowler Chris Morris and left-arm spinner Aaron Phangiso.

Premier seam bowler Morne Morkel and left-handed allrounder Jean-Paul Duminy are still out with injuries.

India has won all three previous matches it has played against South Africa at the Mumbai venue.

All four games in the current series have been won by the team batting first.
