Joshua Spiers scored five of his 24 points in overtime and Loyola Marymount held on to beat Cal State Northridge 82-80 on Wednesday night.

Spiers made a 3-pointer before Landon Drew scored a 3-pointer to give the Matadors a 78-77 lead with 1:15 left in overtime, its first lead since late in the first half. Adom Jacko answered with a dunk, and Spiers scored to make it 81-80 with 25 seconds remaining.

The Matadors' Tavrion Dawson missed a go-ahead jumper with 13 seconds to play. Jacko then split a pair of free throws, and Brown forced a turnover with 2 seconds left to seal it for LMU (3-2). Brown had 15 points and nine assists.

Micheal Warren scored 23 points for Cal State Northridge (2-4). Zacarry Douglas added 15 points and 11 rebounds. Drew scored six points, and made a 3-pointer with 2 seconds left in regulation to force overtime.
