Syracuse has extended women's basketball coach Quentin Hillsman's contract.
Terms of the agreement were not released Friday.
The Orange just completed one of their best seasons, going 22-10 overall and 11-5 in the Atlantic Coast Conference and receiving an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. The Orange advanced to the second round for the second straight season, a program first, losing to No. 1 seed South Carolina. All but two players return.
Hillsman, only the fourth coach in the 40-year history of the program, is 189-108 (.636) in nine seasons. It's the best winning percentage in school history. He has led the Orange to seven consecutive winning seasons and seven straight post-season appearances, including three straight NCAA berths, also a program first.
