Tennessee will play Georgia Tech in a four-year series starting November in Atlanta.

Volunteers coach Rick Barnes announced the series Thursday.

Tennessee will host Georgia Tech during the 2016-17 and 2018-19 seasons with the second game in Atlanta during the 2017-18 season. These programs have played since 1921 and annually between 1945 and 1968 with Georgia Tech a member of the Southeastern Conference between 1932 and 1964. Tennessee leading the all-time series 42-27. Georgia Tech won the last game in February 2004 77-62 in Knoxville.

Barnes is 5-3 all-time against Georgia Tech from his tenure coaching Clemson.
