Theophilia, the odds-on favourite, won the $69,000 allowance feature for fillies and mares on Friday at Aqueduct.

Never worse than third in the five-horse field, the lone 3-year-old in the race took charge at the top of the stretch and sped away to a 2 1/2 length win over Sustainable.

Jose Lezcano was aboard as Theophilia improved to 3-0-2 in six starts.

It was second straight Aqueduct feature for Hall of Fame trainer Bill Mott. Gigi's Kitten won on Thursday at 14-1.

The price was much lower on Theophilia. She paid $3.90, $2.40 and $2.10 as the 4-5 favourite.

Sustainable returned $3.10 and $2.40 while Guayana paid $2.40 to show.

The time was 1:36.31 for the mile on the fast track.
