Minnesota forward Kevin Garnett has been ruled out for the Timberwolves' game at Cleveland because of a sore right knee.

Garnett left in the first half of Saturday's 106-101 victory over Memphis. Coach Sam Mitchell says he is day to day.

The 39-year-old Garnett is in his 21st NBA season. He is averaging 3.2 points and 3.9 rebounds in 38 games, all starts.

Minnesota hosts Oklahoma City on Wednesday. Mitchell expects Gorgui Dieng to start at power forward against Cleveland.
