Goaltender Ryan Massa won his American Hockey League debut as the Toronto Marlies beat the host Syracuse Crunch 3-1 on Friday.
Massa, who was summoned from the ECHL Orlando Solar Bears Thursday night, made 16 saves as the Marlies (15-3-1) improved to 10-0-1 in their past 11 games.
Josh Leivo, Sam Carrick and Frederik Gauthier supplied the offence for Toronto while T.J. Brennan tacked on two assists.
Tye McGinn scored for the Crunch (8-6-3), which got a 27-save outing from Kristers Gudlevskis.
The Marlies went 1 for 4 on the power play while Syracuse scored once on three chances with the man advantage.
