TSN analyst Bob McKenzie and Los Angeles Kings radio broadcaster Nick Nickson will be honoured by the Hockey Hall of Fame later this year.

McKenzie is the winner of the Elmer Ferguson Memorial Award for excellence in hockey journalism while Nickson is the winner of the Foster Hewitt Memorial Award for outstanding contributions as a hockey broadcaster, the Hall announced Thursday in a release. They will receive their awards at the Hockey Hall of Fame NHL Media Awards luncheon on Nov. 9 in Toronto.

McKenzie joined The Sports Network in the late 1980s and is considered one of the most connected and trusted analysts covering the sport today. Nickson, meanwhile, has called over 3,000 games for the Kings over 35 seasons.

The Elmer Ferguson Memorial Award is presented by the Professional Hockey Writers' Association while the Foster Hewitt Memorial Award is presented by the NHL Broadcasters' Association.

The 2015 Hockey Hall of Fame Induction Weekend begins Nov. 6. This year's inductees will be announced June 29.
