Wales tighthead prop Rhodri Jones will miss the Rugby World Cup after tearing a pectoral muscle.
The Wales Rugby Union made the announcement on Friday.
Jones will undergo surgery on an injury expected to sideline him for 12-16 weeks. The World Cup in England and Wales starts in nine weeks.
The 23-year-old Jones has 13 caps, five of them starts, as the tighthead backup to Samson Lee.
Cardiff Blues prop Scott Andrews, capped 11 times, was summoned into Wales' training squad for the World Cup, and will travel with them to Doha, Qatar, this weekend.
"It is hugely disappointing for Rhodri, who was working extremely hard out in Switzerland," Wales coach Warren Gatland said.
"It is a great opportunity for Scott to ... show us what he is capable of. In terms of the tighthead position, Samson has continued to make excellent progress, and we have been very impressed with both Aaron Jarvis and Tomas Francis during the first batch of training."
