Watford has signed goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon from Sunderland to provide competition for Heurelho Gomes.
The 28-year-old Pantilimon started the season as Sunderland's first-choice goalkeeper but he has not played since a 3-1 defeat at Chelsea a month ago. The Romania international wasn't included in the last three matchday squads.
Watford, which is 12th in the English Premier League after a 1-0 loss at Swansea on Monday, gains a goalkeeper with more than 50 appearances in the topflight.
Pantilimon made seven league appearances for Manchester City in a three-year spell at the club before joining Sunderland in 2014.
Also on Tuesday, 16th-place Norwich continued to bolster its squad in a bid to stay in the Premier League, signing Scottish forward Steven Naismith from Everton.
