Quadir Welton scored 18 points, grabbed eight rebounds and Saint Peter's held off Siena for a 72-68 win Sunday.

Chazz Patterson added a career-high 17 points and Antwon Portley had 11 for Saint Peter's (3-4, 2-0 Metro Atlantic), which has won its first two conference games for the first time since the 2010-11 season. Welton was 4 of 5 from the field and 10 of 16 from the line, while Patterson finished 6 of 13 from the floor and hit 3 of his 8 attempts from behind the arc.

Siena (5-4, 1-1) rallied in the second half with an 18-7 run to cut the gap to 70-68. Patterson sank a pair of free throws with five seconds left to set the final score, then forced a turnover to clinch the win.

Marquis Wright's 20 points led four Saints players in double figures.
