The West Coast Eagles booted seven goals in a dominant opening quarter that helped them to a 15.14 (104) to 11.14 (80) win over first-placed Fremantle in Sunday's western derby in the Australian Football League.
The Eagles ended the Dockers' six-match winning streak in the West Australian state contest.
Josh Hill kicked four goals for the Eagles who were without several stars, including Nic Naitanui, Mark LeCras, Jeremy McGovern and Scott Selwood.
Fremantle stayed atop the table despite the loss — their third in 19 games — while West Coast leap-frogged reigning premiers Hawthorn into second place. Hawthorn beat Geelong 19.7 (121) to 12.13 (85) on Saturday.
