Sydney FC and Perth played to the same result late Saturday in searing heat in Perth. Five weekend matches resulted in a total of just eight goals.
Earlier, Brisbane and Melbourne City drew 1-1, Melbourne Victory beat Central Coast 2-1 and Western Sydney edged Wellington 2-1.
First-place Brisbane has 14 points, one ahead of the Victory and the Wanderers. Sydney is on 12 points, followed by Newcastle on 11 points and Wellington on 10.
