The Chicago White Sox have sent right-hander Jake Petricka to Triple-A Charlotte on an injury rehabilitation assignment.
Petricka was limited to five appearances in spring training because of a strained right forearm and opened the season on the disabled list. He led major league rookies with 14 saves while going 1-6 with a 2.96 ERA in 67 appearances last season.
The White Sox announced the move Thursday.
