Khadeen Carrington tied a career high with 20 points and Isaiah Whitehead scored seven straight in the final minutes to help Seton Hall hold off Georgia for a 69-62 win Saturday night.
Whitehead finished with 22 points, Desi Rodriguez scored 11 and Angel Delgado had 11 rebounds and three blocked shots for Seton Hall (5-1).
Kenny Paul Geno hit two free throws to pull Georgia (2-2) within one, 60-59, with 2:23 to play.
Whitehead hit a jumper and, after Delgado's final block on a jumper by Kenny Gaines, Whitehead made a pair of free throws to make it a five-point game with 1:14 left. He then came up with a steal before knocking down a 3 and pushing the Seton Hall lead to 67-59 with 29 seconds remaining.
The Pirates shot a season-low 41.8 per cent from the field.
Yante Maten scored 21 for Georgia. Geno and Gaines added 13 apiece.
