Quentin Williams threw for a career-high 374 yards and four touchdowns and ran for another score as Bethune-Cookman pulled away in the second half for a 59-49 win over Norfolk State on Saturday.

Michael Jones, who had a 75-yard run for a score, rambled for 125 yards and two scores and caught three passes for 103 yards and another touchdown as Bethune-Cookman (6-2, 4-1) remains one game back of North Carolina A&T in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference standings.

The score was tied at 35 at the break. The Wildcats took control in the third quarter, outscoring Norfolk State 21-7. Williams hit Jones on an 89-yard scoring strike for a 56-42 lead with 1:33 left in the third. Williams had a 76-yard scoring pass to Frank Brown in the first quarter.

Greg Hankerson threw for 238 yards and four touchdowns for Norfolk State (2-5, 2-2). Gerard Johnson rushed for 126 yards and one touchdown.
