Josh Woodrum was 15 of 21 for 230 yards and four touchdowns on Saturday night, and Liberty held off Kennesaw State 45-35.

Darrin Peterson had four catches for 164 yards and three touchdowns, including an 80-yarder in the middle of the second quarter.

Liberty (4-4, 1-2 Big South) took control with 24 straight points to end the first half, and Kennesaw State (5-2, 1-1) got no closer than within 10 points in the second.

The Owls scored four second-half touchdowns, but the Flames matched each one, the last on a five-play, 67-yard drive that made it 45-28 with 3:56 left in the game.

Todd Macon ran eight times for 81 yards and a touchdown, and Desmond Rice added 79 yards and a score.

Trey White threw for a TD and ran for three more with 71 yards passing and 94 yards rushing for Kennesaw State.
