Gyasi Zardes had a goal and two assists on Saturday night, and the Los Angeles Galaxy beat the Philadelphia Union 5-1 in the only league meeting between the teams this season.
Baggio Husidic opened the scoring with a putback in the 23rd minute after Zardes' shot rebounded squarely off the post.
The Galaxy (6-5-7) doubled their lead in the 35th when Zardes cut a cross back to Juninho, who blasted home a left-footed shot.
Robbie Keane delivered a wide cross past four defenders to assist Zardes in the 56th minute.
C.J. Sapong put the Union (4-10-3) on the board in the 58th minute with a turnaround blast.
A minute later, Stefan Ishizaki tallied another for the Galaxy, and Sebastian Lletget added their fifth goal on a layoff from Zardes in the 65th.
Lletget netted his second career goal in as many MLS starts.
