West Louisiana officials say lightning injured six people at an RV park near the Louisiana-Texas state line.

Sabine Parish Sheriff Ronny Richardson tells KTBS-TV (http://bit.ly/1M4BfJs ) that a lightning bolt struck during a Fourth of July celebration at an RV park at Toledo Bend Reservoir.

Parish Warden Joe Dewil tells KSLA-TV (http://bit.ly/1H88lXE ) it's believed to have hit a tree just after 7 p.m. Saturday.

Richardson says all six people went treated at a local hospital.

Their names and conditions were not available.

Dewil says they are believed to have non-life threatening injuries, such as chest pain and headaches.

The RV park is part of the 114-acre Cypress Bend Park owned by the Sabine River Authority, which manages the 185,000-acre reservoir created by damming the Sabine River.
