Authorities in Puerto Rico have seized nearly 150 pounds (68 kilograms) of cocaine near an uninhabited island just west of the U.S. territory.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection said in a statement Wednesday that the drugs are worth an estimated $1.9 million. Officials said they arrested 43-year-old Bartolome Barber Bracero after finding the cocaine aboard a wooden vessel near the island of Desecheo.

Officials said he was the only man aboard the ship.
