A jury wants to see a police video as they consider the fate of an Alabama officer on trial a second time in his takedown of an Indian man earlier this year.

Jurors in the civil rights trial of police officer Eric Parker asked a federal judge Friday to watch police video of his encounter with 58-year-old Sureshbhai Patel.

The judge agreed and told them to return for more deliberations at 9 a.m. Monday.

Prosecutors say Parker used excessive force by knocking down Patel in a suburban neighbourhood in February.

Parker testified that Patel tried to pull away from him, indicating he may have been up to no good.

This is Parker's second trial. His first one ended in a hung jury last month.
