Iranian state TV says a fire in a petrochemical factory has injured four workers.

It says the fire broke out Wednesday after a gas leak in the Mobin factory, in the southern port city of Asaluyeh.

It says the fire is under control and expected to be extinguished soon, but the factory has halted operations to prevent further damage.

It was not immediately clear what caused the leak in the factory, which went online in the early 2000s.

Petrochemical products are among Iran's top exports.
