Police say the death of a 5-month-old boy has been ruled a homicide and his mother, who jumped to her death from the roof of a Baltimore parking garage, is a suspect.
Baltimore police said Wednesday that the medical examiner ruled the death of 5-month-old Sina Masoodi last month a homicide by asphyxiation. Police say the case was closed because Sahar Pourrajabi of Cockeysville, the baby's mother and the suspect in the case, is dead. A police spokesman said he did not have details about how the baby was killed.
Police say officers called to a downtown parking garage on June 23 found Pourrajabi dead and later found the infant dead inside a car. An incident report states that Pourrajabi's husband told a detective that she had been suffering from postpartum depression and was being treated and taking medication.
