Norwegian media report that three German tourists have drowned during a fishing trip in a remote region off the coast of Arctic Norway.

National news agency NTB cites police as saying the three men, in the 60s, were found drowned on Saturday after their boat capsized west of Norway's northern tip, North Cape.

NTB reported Sunday that police say they have no clear picture of what happened, and have started an investigation. Officials have contacted German Embassy officials and police in Germany.

Police say they are questioning other members of the tourist group and that the 23-foot (7-meter) boat would undergo a technical examination, NTB said.

No other details were immediately available. Local police could not be reached for confirmation.
