Today, he has to be hooked up to a dialysis machine three times a week for four hours a day to remove excess water and waste from his blood.Mr. Tep thought the government would be thrilled when his sister's son in Cambodia stepped forward and offered to donate his kidney. The transplant would ultimately save the Ontario health care system $60,000 a year -- the cost of dialysis.
