For Ukrainian refugee couple, baby’s birth in Poland is a story of hope, faith and charity
3.24.2022 Przemysl, Poland Olena and Andreii Tsebenko hold Vira, who was born last week in Przemysl, Poland. The couple fled their home in Lviv on the first day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine when Ms. Tsebenko was nine months pregnant and due any day. Thanks to the support of dozens of strangers, Vira arrived last week at a healthy three kilos and 140 grams. “When Vira grows up we will tell her all the stories of how she was born,” said Ms. Tsebenko.
