In photos: I-75 full of beater sedans, Jesus statues and redneck emporiums
Drive columnist Peter Cheney has traveled Interstate 75 countless times. This is the highway of Middle America, populated with beater sedans and overloaded pickups. I-75 takes you past the ruins of Detroit, through the interminable Ohio plains, and finally, to Florida. And it's a true road show, lined with trailer parks, giant Jesus statues, and redneck emporiums where you can buy a buy a handgun or a racist lawn ornament. It may not be the highway of dreams, but I-75 always makes for an interesting trip.
