The snow storm that hit southern Ontario earlier this week was a vivid reminder of why SUVs and crossovers have become the vehicle of choice for many Canadians. The expectation of lower oil and gas prices for the foreseeable future will only help to sustain sales growth in these segments, which is up nearly 13 per cent year to date with an increase of more than 71,000 units sold as compared to last year.
In contrast, new car sales are down more than 37,000 units in the same period or over 5 per cent. If these trends continue, sales of new SUVs and crossovers (635,192 units YTD November) will likely outpace sales of new cars (692,689 units YTD November) in 2016. Competition is fierce among auto makers for market share in the fastest growing vehicle segment and great deals are the result.

2016 Subaru Forester
Cash purchasers can take advantage of a $500 manufacturer incentive on the 2016 Forester, plus an additional Holiday Bonus Cash offer of $500 off. Finance and lease customers are entitled to a $500 rebate. Those who have financed or leased a Subaru previously are entitled to an additional 1 per cent rate reduction, which can result in a loyalty interest rate as low as 0.9 per cent for financing for 60 months or leasing for 48 months.

Those who have financed or leased an Infiniti previously are entitled to an additional 1 per cent rate reduction, which can result in a loyalty interest rate as low as 1.9 per cent for financing for 60 months or 1.59 per cent leasing for 48 months.

Financing for up to 84 months is available at 1.99 per cent interest and leasing for up to 60 months is available at 2.49 per cent interest. There is still inventory available for the 2015 Pathfinder, but selection will soon be running low.
