2011 Audi R8
With less than a month to go before the big day, here's something to tuck under the Christmas tree for that gear head in your life who has been more nice than naughty: a 2011 Audi R8.
How can you resist? Audi Canada has $20,000 in a factory-to-dealer cash rebate to help you act like Santa on the mother of all holiday shopping binges. If you bargain hard, it's not unreasonable to expect your dealer to be a generous little elf and kick in $5,000 or $6,000 more. It's the holiday season, after all.
And so a $144,000 R8, one further inflated with another $17,000 in taxes and fees, could be unwrapped for less than $139,000. As well, Audi will give you five years of financing for 4.2 per cent. Now that's what we'd call an end-of-year deal.
The R8 is one of the very best cars in the world. This aluminum beast delivers spectacular ride, handling, acceleration, cornering… The design is breathtaking and the technology on board is nonpareil. Make someone you love happy.
Okay, okay, I am kidding a little here. But $20,000 isn't exactly reindeer tidbits. And we found healthy holiday-like offers on three other models this week, also.
For instance, certain Mercedes-Benz S-Class customers may qualify for more than $20,000 in rebates, as well as 1.0 per cent financing or leasing. You'll need to talk to your dealer for the deals, but these offers are rich here as Christmas shopping looms.
How about a new convertible under the tree for that special person with everything else? The Lexus IS 250C hardtop convertible might be had with more than $5,000 in discounts. For mainstream types who just want a new family sleigh, the Buick Lucerne is being pushed with something ideal for the gift-giving season: as much as $8,000 or more in sales sweeteners.
