You do not need to spend big bucks if you want a fast car. Affordable, under-$40,000 cars with stylish looks and 0-100 km/hour times in the six-second range are out there.
We found four of them with decent sticker prices that can be chopped down for buyers who apply various discounts. Included among them is a negotiated dealer discount based on the difference between the retail price on the window and the wholesale price the dealer pays the manufacturer.
This week's racy deals cover a sedans - a turbocharged four-banger from Hyundai - two traditional muscle cars from Detroit auto makers - both with powerful V-8s, and a V-6 Honda Accord Coupe which we considered a bit of a performance sleeper. We think these four are good deals based on affordable pricing which can be combined with attractive sales sweeteners.
