We've added some new calculator tools in the personal finance section today. Calculators on the web are nothing new, but these are just about the nicest and most useful I've been able to find anywhere.
You can look for them under Calculators in the navigation under Personal Finance, but here is the page where they are all kept.
There are 20 calculators that can help you understand market volatility, TFSAs, personal savings, net worth, taxes, RESPs, insurance, retirement and more.
Each one has a "Help" tab that shows you how to use it, how you can save different personal scenarios or print off each one. Please let me know what you think of them.
While we're at it, you've probably already noticed that we started using new article pages at GlobeInvestor.com and ReportonBusiness.com yesterday. We've been rolling them out throughout GlobeandMail.com all week. You can find more about them in the Globe's Digital Lab blog. The blog also talks about how new comment features and functionality are also now on articles and blogs. The new features allow you to reply to individual comments, as well as block, delete, share and e-mail each comment.
There is more to come with the redesign of the paper and website next week so stay tuned.
