U.K.'s CPI data is released, expected to be unchanged from May with a 0.1 per cent decrease.
(8:30 a.m. ET) U.S. releases retail sales for June, expected to be up 0.5 per cent after May's 0.3 per cent rise.
(9 a.m. ET) Canada's existing home sales data for June is released. Figures are expected to be up 7.5 per cent year-over-year, up from May's gain of 4.8 per cent.
(9 a.m. ET) Canada's MLS home price index is released, expected to be be up 5.3 per cent year-over-year versus May's 5 per cent.
(10 a.m. ET) Fed Chair Janet Yellen will deliver her monetary policy report to the Senate Banking Committee

WEDNESDAY, July 16
China's real GDP data for Q2 is released, expected to be up 1.8 per cent , up from Q1's 1.4 per cent.
China's industrial production data is released, expected to be up 9 per cent year-over-year.
EU Leaders summit takes place.
U.K. jobless claims for June to be released, expected to be at 27,000.
(9:15 a.m. ET) U.S. industrial production data for June is released, consensus is expected to be up 0.3 per cent, weaker than May's 0.6 per cent rise.
(10 a.m. ET) Bank of Canada announcement and monetary policy report is released
(10 a.m. ET) Fed Chair Janet Yellen will deliver her monetary policy report to the House Financial Services Committee
(10 a.m. ET) U.S. NAHB Housing Market Index released, with consensus expecting a reading of 50, up form June's 49.
(2 p.m. ET) U.S. beige book is released.
Earnings include: Bank of America, BlackRock, Charles Schwab, eBay, Kinder Morgan, Safeway, SanDisk, YUM Brands, West Fraser Timber.
THURSDAY, July 17
Euro area reports consumer price index for May.
(830 a.m. ET) U.S. releases initial jobless claims for last week, forecast to rise 6,000 to 310,000.
(830 a.m. ET) U.S. housing starts for June. Consensus expectations is for a .5 per cent rise to an annual rate of 1.04 million. Building permits data also will be released, forecast to rise 2.5 per cent.
