Monday, Jan. 12

China releases reports on its December money supply, foreign exchange reserves and trade surplus.

(10 a.m. ET) U.S. Federal Reserve releases its December labor market conditions index.

(10:30 a.m. ET) The Bank of Canada releases its fourth quarter business outlook survey and senior loan officer survey.

Earnings include: Sirius XM Canada, Alcoa Inc.

Tuesday Jan. 13

Japan releases its November current account balance.

U.K. releases its December consumer price index report.

Earnings include: Cogeco Cable, Cogeco Inc., Corus Entertainment, DragonWave, Velan, CSX Corp, KB Home, Linear Tech Corp., Progress Software Corp., Washington Federal Inc.

Wednesday Jan. 14

Euro zone releases its November industrial production report.

(8:30 a.m. ET) U.S. reports its December retail sales report. Consensus is for an increase of 0.1 per cent. It also reports its December import prices. Consensus is for an decrease of 2.9 per cent.

(10 a.m. ET) U.S. reports November business inventories. Consensus is for an increase of 0.3 per cent.

(2 p.m. ET) The U.S. Federal Reserve releases its Beige Book.

Earnings include: Amica Mature Lifestyles, Shaw Communications, Charles Schwab Corp., H.B. Fuller Company, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Kinder Morgan Inc., Wells Fargo & Co.

Thursday Jan. 15

Euro zone reports its November trade surplus.

Germany reports its 2014 real gross domestic product.

Japan releases its December producer price index and November machine order reports.

(8:30 a.m.) Canada reports its November new motor vehicle sales report. Estimates call for a 4.4 per cent year-over-year increase.

(9 a.m.) Canada reports its December existing home sales and average prices index, and the MLS home price index. Estimates are for year-over-year increases of 4 per cent, 5 per cent, and 5.2 per cent respectively.

Friday Jan. 16

Euro zone and Germany report their December consumer price index reports.

(8:30 a.m.ET) U.S. reports its December consumer price index. Consensus is for a year-over-year decline of 0.3 per cent.

(9:15 a.m. ET) U.S. reports its December industrial production. Consensus is for it to remain unchanged. It also reports its December capacity utilization. Consensus is for it to be at 80 per cent.

(9:55 a.m.) U.S. reports the University of Michigan consumer sentiment index for January. Consensus is for the index to be up slightly to 94.1
