Not to be confused with the regular 1664 – a draft staple at bars across the land – this is the wheat-beer version. I like it much better, too. Pale hazy yellow, it's based on the Belgian wit style and veers strongly into citrus territory, notably orange, with moderate spiciness and intriguing mint and earth notes. Dry and crisp, it's a refreshing antidote to summer's heat. And the cobalt-blue bottle is mighty attractive. ($13.99/six-pack in B.C., $2.14/bottle in Manitoba, $2.99/bottle in New Brunswick)
