Canada’s tax system is in need of an overhaul. In our new Tax and Effect series, we’re taking a look at the policy choices that could boost the economy and improve the lives of Canadians.

We spoke to economists about whether cutting personal income taxes and raising the GST instead could help kickstart Canada’s sluggish economy, asked tax experts for their biggest and boldest ideas on overhauling the tax system and tracked where your tax dollars go.
